When you hear the words brother or uncle, you think of the life of the party, the one who could make anyone smile, the one who always had your back. For our family, that was Walter. Known to all of us as Uncle Walt or Uncle Bud, he was the heart of every gathering and the laughter in every room.
Born on August 4, 1957, in Glen Rose, Texas, to Raymond and Joyce Wilson, Walter lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Walter went home to be with our Lord and Savior, passing peacefully at his home in Springtown, Texas.
He is survived by his three sisters, Edna Coslett, Carol Savell, and Mary Waugh, along with countless nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Elliott, his sister Valorie Snodgrass, his brother Johnny Wilson, and his parents, Raymond and Joyce Wilson.
Though we miss our dear brother and uncle, we take comfort in knowing that Uncle Bud is now covering many miles in heaven, riding free with that same mischievous grin and unwavering spirit.
