William “Bill” Henry Miller III, 68, entered the arms of Jesus, Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Decatur. Born on November 9, 1856, in Fort Worth to William Henry Miller Jr. and Sarah (Post) Miller, Bill was a cherished member of his family, both of whom, along with his sister, Sarah Ann Miller, preceded him in death.
Growing up in Fort Worth, Bill graduated from Paschal High School and developed a deep passion for audio/visual technology, which he pursued with great enthusiasm. He served as the Sound Engineer at The Rock Church in Bridgeport, where he was a devoted member. His love for life and joy for fishing were integral parts of who he was, and he found great companionship in his beloved dogs, Mikey and Gracie. Bill’s sense of humor and his love for food helped build connections and relationships between the people he cared about. His steadfast faith in God was evident to all. With a tender heart that moved him to minister God’s love to others, Bill helped people find their purpose. His legacy is one of deep love and great faith. Those who know him well will follow Bill’s example until the day they meet him again in heaven.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sheila (Shurfield) Miller; his sister-in-law, Patricia Parker, and her husband, Alan; as well as long-time friends, David and Janet Halvorson, alongside many other friends who will undoubtedly miss him dearly.
Bill's legacy of love, friendship, and devotion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
