Scott Leslie White, 66, of Bowie, TX., passed away, at home, Thursday, February 6, 2025.
He was born June 10, 1958 in Denver, CO to Donald and Merle Ann (Beck) White. After his mother’s remarriage to Harold “Bub” Sellars, Scott grew up in a family with 7 siblings. The family moved often, so Scott had attended 22 different schools by the time he graduated high school. From this he developed an outgoing, fun-loving, and fearless personality which made friends easily everywhere he went.
Scott was an entrepreneur at heart, opening an automotive tune-up shop in his early 20s. He then switched to a career in direct sales for 25 years, often in management roles. Scott then returned to college and completed a B.S. in Psychology from University of North Texas at the age of 53. Later in life Scott went back to his auto mechanic roots and opened his last business of an auto shop before settling into retirement.
Scott met his 3rd wife Angela Lee Clark on June 8, 1992; their close friendship resulted in marriage 10 years later on June 8, 2002 and lasted another 22 years. Scott was a loving and attentive husband who will be missed dearly by his wife.
While in his early days Scott was the life of the party, in later life he enjoyed spending time with his close buddies talking cars, football, politics, or ranching. Scott loved animals, and had an especially soft heart for his dogs, cats, and horses.
Scott is survived by his wife, Angela of Bowie, TX; 2 sons Franklin and Scotty from a previous marriage; a brother and 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Don; step-father Harold; mother Merle; as well as multiple siblings.
In lieu of a memorial service, his family and friends will host a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
Cremation has been entrusted to Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home of Springtown, TX.
