Virginia Marie Oyler, 48, of Decatur, Texas, went home to heaven on June 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 26, 1977, in Holland, Michigan, she was the daughter of Doug and Mary Jo Blacquiere, who now reside in Grandville, Michigan.

A woman of deep faith, compassion, and purpose, Virginia dedicated her life to loving others and living out her beliefs with determined strength. She graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1999 and married the love of her life, Luke Oyler, on May 8 of that same year. Together for 26 years, they built a life rooted in love, service, and shared mission.

Virginia was a devoted wife and mother, and her greatest joy was raising her three beloved children: Joshua, Nathan, and Adelynn. Her home was full of warmth, encouragement, and peace, and she was the steady, loving heart of her family.

From 2012 to 2018, Virginia and her family lived as missionaries in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she served as one of the school directors at the Kathmandu International Study Centre. Her leadership and kindness touched families from around the world, and her time there was filled with meaningful relationships and deep engagement. She carried those experiences with her for the rest of her life.

After returning to the United States, Virginia embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart into her children and continuing to share her wisdom and faith with others. She authored the book The Spiritual Cost of Burnout, reflecting her desire to encourage and uplift those navigating challenges in life and ministry.

Virginia had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. She loved being outdoors—hiking, camping, and exploring with family and friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent in special connection surrounded by the people she loved most.

Virginia lived a life of sincere faith, always eager to share her hope with others. She led Bible studies, mentored younger women, and found countless quiet ways to serve her church and community. She had a gift for making others feel seen and supported, and her legacy of encouragement continues in the lives of those she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband, Luke Oyler; her children Joshua, Nathan, and Adelynn; her parents Doug and Mary Jo Blacquiere of Grandville, Michigan; her sister Becky Heemstra of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her brother Kevin Blacquiere of Prosper, Texas; and her brother Scott Blacquiere of Colts Neck, New Jersey. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family and friends from around the world who were blessed to know her.

Virginia’s life was a testimony of grace, deep faith, and compassion. She left a mark on this world that will not be forgotten.
