John Ardee Vickers II of Azle, Texas passed away on December 11th, 2024. He was 75 years old. He was born in Paris, Texas on November 8th, 1949 to John and Dorothy Vickers.
John was married to his best friend and love of his life of over 55 years, Sharon L. Vickers.
John was a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the United States Navy serving in Vietnam as a Seabee, he was both a truck driver and a shop mechanic supervisor for Central Freight Lines. He was an exceptional carpenter and custom home builder. He was also a classic car enthusiast, and friend to everyone he met. In our eyes he was nothing short of brilliant.
John is survived by his daughter Tammy M. Vickers, his son Jerry M. Vickers; sister Judy Cox; grandchildren Tanner Green, Kellee Wolff and her Husband Sean, Ellyce Justice and her Husband Kennedy, Sterling Vickers, Bryson Vickers, and Emmylia Vickers; great-grandchildren Remington Green, Brantlee Wolff, Kamden (KJ) Wolff, River Wolff, Lennox Justice, Colsen Wolff, and Estela Justice.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, mother and father John and Dorothy Vickers, and his sister Patricia.
The Celebration of Life for both John and Sharon will be held at Hollow Hill Event Center on their 56th wedding anniversary, March 22, 2025.
