Tony Eugene Carpenter

Tony Eugene Carpenter, 60, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at his home in Fort Worth. He was born on December 16, 1965, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Hobert Eugene Carpenter and Betty (Walton) Carpenter. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Sommay Carpenter; father, Gene Carpenter; and brother, Hobert Carpenter.

Tony was raised in North Richland Hills and graduated from Richland High School in 1985. He worked for Uniden for many years, where he met the love of his life Sommay. They married in 1996. Together, they built their home and raised a family.

Tony was a kind and giving man. He was funny and did not take life too seriously. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother. He enjoyed restoring classic cars. He had just completed work on his 1967 VW Beetle. Tony also enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Tony is survived by his children, Haley Carpenter and Dustin Carpenter; mother, Betty Carpenter; sisters, Susan Rumrill, Lavonne Rhodes, and her husband, Curtis; and special friend Beth Daniel; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
