Dennis Ray Tichavsky, 49 Passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Decatur. He was born December 18, 1973 to Jesse Wayne Tichavsky and Martha Ellen (Wright) Tichavsky in New Braunfels. His parents precede him in death. Dennis lived in Seguin and Gonzales for most of his younger years, later settling in Azle. He was a free spirited man who lived life on his own terms, unconcerned with the expectations of others. Dennis loved to make people laugh while teaching them a good lesson at the same time. His advise was always sound, at least in his eyes. He was a hard working man, willing to help anyone whenever needed. Dennis had many talents from mechanic, to woodworking, welding and electrical work. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do if he put his mind to it. His daughter looked up to him and, turned to him for comfort and advise throughout life. She knew that his wisdom was drawn from a deep well of personal experience in life. Dennis treated his step daughters as his own and took on a fatherly role, even if they didn’t need it. He was always there for them just as he was for his own daughter. His friends would tell you that he was a very funny man. His jokes would always bring a good laugh. Dennis was there for his family and friends. If you needed some tough love, a hand shake, an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on, you could count on Dennis to be there for you. He had many interest in life to include riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, building something unique, tearing something apart and putting It back together (simply because his knew he could and he loved a good challenge). Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Leanna Stokes; daughter, Alexis Tichavsly; step-daughters, Haley and Natalie Rodden.
