Teddi Millsap-Sylvester

Teddi grew up in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. She loved farm life and anything to do with animals. She attended Dayton Middle School and Newberg High School and then went on to beauty school. Teddi raised her two beautiful children, Elisabeth and Timothy who were her everything! She owned her own hair salon in Sheridan Oregon for several years. She then became a CNA and began her lifelong career of giving amazing care to so many. In 1995 her and her husband moved to Northern Idaho where she opened an adult foster care home and loved and cared for many more for years. She moved back to Sheridan again for a short time before making her final move to Texas in 2019 where she once again went back to work as a CNA and eventually got her Med Aid license. She retired from Springtown Park Rehabilitation and Care Facility in 2024.

Her hobbies included hunting, gardening, sewing/quilting, and all things to do with the Bible.

Her faith in God and relationship with Jesus was the most important thing in her life and she was always ready to tell anyone about Him! She loved her family at The Creek Church in Azle and was always inviting people to join her.

Teddi was preceded in death by her sister Terry Rae and her parents, Colvin Cutshall and Joyce Minor. She is survived by her children, Timothy Thorne and his son Tyler McGee, Elisabeth and Benjamin Heurung and their children, Alannis Hopkins, her new baby to be and Aurelia Heurung. Jeff Flood, her long time foster son. Her sister Tonia and Jeff Olson and their many children, and brothers Michael Taggart, and Jeffrey and Christine Taggart and their children Makayla and Alexander.

Teddi will be remembered for her love of Christ, her quirky sense of humor, love and compassion.
