It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lori Kay Tate announces she received her angel wings on June 9, 2024, at the age of 54. A celebration of Lori's life will be held on June 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Venue, 2250 Agnes Circle, Springtown, Texas, 76082, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of a life lived with purpose and love. The family invites those attending to wear Lori’s favorite color, green.
Lori had a fiery spirit and radiated joy and kindness, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Born on February 3, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas to Donald and Carleene, Lori was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and the baseball community. She was married to Lance and their partnership was filled with laughter and cherished memories. Together they shared five children: Brandi, Harlie, Hanna, Halle, and Cooper, who were the pride and joy of Lori's life. Lori was also a proud Grammy to her grands, Norah and Harrison, whose lives were deeply enriched by her affection and the fun adventures they shared at GG Camp and on the farm with the miniature animals and in the veggie garden.
A successful entrepreneur and a nurse for over thirty years, Lori was always looking for ways to serve others with a helping hand or a listening ear. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her compassionate nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Family was at the heart of everything Lori did, and she was a constant source of support, guidance, and love for her children and grandchildren.
Lori is survived by her husband, Lance Tate; her children, Brandi (Jeff) Haslam, Harlie Phares, Hanna Phares, Halle Phares, and Cooper Tate; her grandchildren, Norah and Harrison; her parents, Donald Stokes and Carleene Bustamante; her two younger siblings, Becky Pierce-Salmon and Joseph Pierce; and numerous family members and friends.
We know you are in Heaven getting things ready for us, and your light will forever shine in our hearts.
