Susan "Kim" Rolls, 70, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Decatur. Born December 21, 1954, she was the daughter of Alvin Valton and Barbara Lee (Reynolds) Rolls, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her beloved grandmother, Mildred Reynolds, who lovingly raised her.
A proud graduate of Nocona High School with honors, where she achieved the honor of salutatorian, Kim was well-known for her spirited involvement in various activities, including varsity basketball and volleyball. She also served as the editor of the school’s publication, the Arrowhead, and was a dedicated member of the National Honor Society. Following her high school years, Kim continued her education at the University of Texas, Texas Woman's University, and Austin Community College.
Kim had a passion for cooking, traveling, and watching sports, along with a love for animals, the water and scuba diving. After spending meaningful years in Austin, she returned to her roots in Nocona to raise her daughter, Cora.
She is remembered fondly by her daughter, Cora, and extended family, which includes many cousins and their families, as well as her many friends and classmates who loved her dearly. Kim’s warmth and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.
