Jo Summers

Jo Eva (Greenaway) Summers, 90, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at her home in Boyd. She was born March 29, 1934 to James and Emma (Burchfield) Greenaway. She was preceded in death by her parents and, husband Jack Summers. Jo grew up in Oklahoma and graduated Plainview High School in 1952. She married her husband of 57 years Jack, in 1956. The couple moved to the Fort Worth area and raised three children. Jo was a teachers aid in the Springtown ISD and taught computer skills to kindergarten children. She retired in 2005. She enjoyed reading, travel and, spending time with her family. Jo was a kind and loving person with an infectious smile who loved life. She is survived by sons, Jeff Summers and wife, Stacey, and Jason Summers; daughter, Jana Stack and husband, Chad; sisters, Lavena McKay and husband, Elbin and Judy Brooks; grandchildren, Chelsi and Chase. Jo will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
