Aleta Stroud

Aleta Lankford Stroud, 67, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 28, 2019. Aleta was born July 25, 1951 in Jacksonville.   She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Jane Weaver Lankford, along with her grandmother, Flora Weaver, sister, Andrea Wilson and nephew, Alex Overall.  Aleta grew up in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High in 1969 and was a active member of the Arlington High Alumni Band where she played the saxaphone.  She attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a degree in Nursing in 2001.  Aleta enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and shopping at resale shops with her twin sister.  Left to cherish wonderful memories are her son, David Stroud and wife, Leslie; twin sister, Alexa Overall and husband, Durwin; grandchildren, David and Grace Stroud; niece, Tammy McCleary and husband, Sam; nephews, Kevin, Shane and Chad Overall.
