Stella Hoxsey

Stella Louise (Alexander) Hoxsey, age 82, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Fort Worth. Born on July 1, 1943, in Boyd, she was the cherished daughter of Stella Blanche (Vess) and William Lee Alexander. Stella was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jimmie Hoxsey, and her brothers William, Bobby and Billy Alexander.

Stella called Boyd home for most of her life, where she found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Following cremation, a private family placement will take place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2 in Boyd.

She is lovingly remembered by her companion of 26 years, Jeff McCollum; her sons David Hoxsey and Dale Hoxsey; her daughters Dina Bates (Jimmy Due) and Donna Wilson (Ronnie); her grandchildren Christy (Jody), Valerie (Joe), Trace, McKinzy, and Makayla; as well as her great-grandchildren Kullyn, Kailyn, Kayler, Kayleb, Knoxley and Addi. Also forever faithful was her canine companion, JR.

Stella’s family and all who knew her will remember her warmth, dedication, and the special moments she shared with those she loved.
