Paul Daniel Stalling “Dan”, 87, of Willow Park, Texas passed away, Friday, September 22, 2022 at John Peter Smith Hospital. He was born in Maryville, Missouri on August 28, 1936 to Paul and Hester (Kendall) Stalling. Dan grew up in Barnard, Missouri where he had many fond childhood memories. He attended his last two years of high school at the Wentworth Military Academy as he aspired to be an Air Force Pilot, but was unable to pass the eye exam. Dan instead decided to attend the University of Missouri-Rolla where he graduated in 1959 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and went on to obtain a Professional Engineering license. He had a long decorated career as an electrical engineer which was his greatest passion. Dan loved the outdoors, traveling, meeting new people, sharing stories, staying busy with projects, and using his brilliant mind to solve some of the toughest challenges. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Weatherford and served two terms on the Willow Park City Council. Dan is survived by his son Brian Stalling and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Jace and Avery; and godchildren, Michelle and Beth Brooks. He is also survived by two step-children.
