Gary Smith

Gary Lane Smith, 80, fell asleep in the arms of his Lord, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Decatur. He was born December 24, 1939 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Roy Dale and Vivian Josephine (Ervi) Smith. They both preceded him in death along with an infant son, David Lee Smith. Gary proudly served in the US Navy. He was employed with Phillips Petroleum in Old Ocean City and retired after 33 years of dedicated service He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Sandy Smith; daughters, Lisa (Ronnie) Moore and Linda (Denver) Smith; brother, Fred Smith and wife, Donna; granddaughters, Aubrey (Kolbe) Ybarra, Kasie (Dustin) Gee, Keri (Taylor) Schuerg, Kara (Maddie) Wangerin, Kenna Smith and Amber (Juan) Rodriguez; great granddaughters, Adalynne Schuerg, Ansley Turner and Arabelle Ybarra; great grandsons, Taylor Ryan Schuerg Jr., Easton Schuerg, Carson Schuerg, Kasen Gee and Holden Ybarra; and numerous, nieces, nephews and extended family.
