Judith "Judy" Diane Servis of Springtown, Texas passed away peacefully on September 24, 2017 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 81.

Judy was born on November 2, 1935 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Clarence E. and Genevieve Irene Prose. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1953 and went on to earn a degree in Teaching from Trinity University. In 1962, she moved to California to marry her husband of 24 years, John Servis. She taught school for several years and was active in her church. She was also a business owner, a bookkeeper and board member of the credit union. After retirement, she moved from Merced, CA to Salem, OR and worked with Youth with a Mission, traveling extensively around the world. She was passionate about giving in a way to help others make their own living and was also active in supporting Christian influence in the political arena. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and church activities.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene and her husband of 24 years, John Servis.

Judy is survived by her brother David Prose of Gun Barrel City, Texas; sister Irene O’Brien of Fairview, Utah; daughters Kathi Erosa of Pine Grove, California and Janet Mounce of Golden, Texas; son Darrick Servis of Vallejo, California; nine grandchildren Jennifer Merritt, Easton and Jake Erosa, Ruthann Cranford and Bethany, Robby, Charlotte, Claire and Jonathan Mounce.

Visitation will be held at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home on Highway 199 near Springtown, Texas on October 11, 2017 at 10:00 am.
Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor John Miller of First Baptist Church, Springtown officiating.

At a later date, there will be a private family burial in Oquawka Cemetery, Oquawka Township, Illinois.
