Charles Seagler

Charles Dean Seagler, 87, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born June 4, 1934 in Acuff, to Reagan and Essie Seagler. They both preceded him in death along with his brother in law, Wayne Herrington. Charles attended school in Bula, Ranger Junior College and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University. Charles obtained a Masters Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma University. Charles taught and coached for 30 years. He began his Texas coaching career at Bula and coached in Sanford-Fritch, Burkburnett, Levelland, Wilson, El Paso, Amherst, Slaton and Plainview. Charles was a strong leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He served as a deacon in several churches and as an elder at Plainview Bible Church. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Sara Elaine Seagler; daughter, Angela Niestemski and husband, Thaddeus; son, Joe Seagler and wife, Shelley; beloved granddaughter, Sloane Seagler; sisters Janell (Terry) Turner, Sandra Herrington and Nelda (Royce) Lane; numerous nieces and nephews. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 NKJV
