Cheryl Scott

Cheryl Sue ( Cypert) Scott, 74, passed away, Monday, March 18, 2024 at home in Springtown. She was born, August, 5, 1949 in Abilene to Oscar and Elinor (Keen) Cypert. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Richard Scott, and sister, Cynthia Redfield. Cheryl grew up in San Angelo and graduated from San Angelo High School. She attended San Angelo State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching. Cheryl was a kindergarten teacher for the Fort Worth ISD retiring in 2014. She loved children and helped to shape generations of youth during her career. She had a special love for children.
Cheryl enjoyed an annual reunion with her high school friends. She is survived by her son, Ralph Beard, SFC Ret US Army; daughters, Stephanie Scott, Stacey Spraggins and husband Terry; grandchildren, Courtney, Elizabeth, Brooke, Jamie, Grayson, Keegan, Jay and Patrick; great-grandchild, Harper; and nieces, Katherine Wood and Tamara Hitt. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
