Janice Schoen

Janice (Ashley) Schoen, 76, passed into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ, August 10, 2023 in Decatur. She was born August 5, 1947 in Roby, Texas to Billy W. and Flora Mae (Burk) Ashley, who both preceded her in death. Janice was a loving servant to Jesus Christ and loved to spread the gospel to everyone she could. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chico where she led bible study and worked wherever she could in the church. Janice was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a marketing manager for Charter Suburban Hospitals and owned several small businesses over the years. Janice loved to spend time making memories with her family. She is survived by her son, David A Justiss; daughter, Tyra Jill Steil and her husband Patrick; grandchildren, John Michael, Ashton, Ryan, Keaton, Christian, Torin, and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brookelynne, Addison, and Adam; sisters, Judy Kahl and Nancye Ashley, Several nieces, nephews and extended family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
