Russell Earl Lowther, 78, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at his home in Jacksboro, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 6, 1946, in Houston, Missouri, to Floyd and Grace May (Morgan) Lowther, Russell was raised in the beautiful surroundings of Sonoma, California.

On August 6, 1965, he married Gladys, the love of his life, and together they lovingly raised five children. Russell was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family, working primarily as a welder but also embracing a variety of skills as a true Jack of all trades. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, building projects, and tending to his yard, always finding joy in creating and crafting.

Russell cherished the moments spent with his family, embarking on many road trips to memorable destinations, including the Sequoia Forest and the beach. His kindness and love for his family will be forever remembered and celebrated.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joyce, Carol, and Bill. Russell is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Gladys Lowther; his children, David Lowther and wife Tracy, Jackie Lowther and wife Erma, Michael Lowther and wife Rebecca, Donna Newell and husband George, and Elisabeth Ogle; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Russell's legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed and cherished in their memories forever. At the requeat of the family there are no public services.
