Roy Dee Applegate Sr., known affectionately as "Johnny Blue," passed away on March 20, 2026, in Fort Worth. Born on September 4, 1949, in Bowie, Texas, Roy was a true emblem of the baby boomer generation.
Roy is survived by his children, Ronald Applegate and his wife Jessica, Roy Dee Applegate, and Derrik Applegate. His brothers Troy Applegate and his wife Brenda, and Ronald Applegate, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
