Ronnie Lynn Gilbreath, 77, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends. Born on November 17, 1948, in Mineola, he was the son of Luther “Slim" Gilbreath and Dorothy Craddock, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his siblings Betty Jo, Donnie, and Darlene.
At the age of 4, the family moved from Mineola to the Northside of Fort Worth where he grew up and attended Northside High School. Ronnie served in the US Army and later moved to River Oaks and worked for the Star-Telegram as a machinist and retired after 25 years.
Ronnie was a devoted father who held a profound love for his children, Danny L. Gilbreath and wife, Jana, and Alicia Arterbury and husband, William. He cherished his grandchildren, Zack Doepke, Riley Gilbreath, Ransom Ratliff, and Kyleigh Steele, as well as his great-grandchildren, Adeline Tomlinson, Clementine Doepke, and Aspen Ratliff.
Known for his kindness and generosity, Ronnie made a lasting impact on those around him, especially underprivileged individuals and children, with a particular fondness for babies. His neighbors were often met with his caring spirit, making him a beloved figure within his community. He is also survived by his siblings, Dannie L. Gilbreath and his wife, Patsy, Luther Gilbreath Jr., and Linda Wilson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Ronnie's legacy of love and care will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
