John Robertson

August 26, 1961 — May 20, 2024

John Joseph Robertson Jr., 62, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 in Fort Worth. He was born August 26, 1961 in Altadena, CA to John Joseph Robertson Sr. and Margaret Mary (Reilly) Robertson. John’s educational journey took him from Saluda High School, where he graduated in '79, to Apalachin State. There, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Science and an undergraduate degree in broadcasting with dean’s list honors. His professional path led him to a long and prosperous career as a Senior Account Manager at Milliken Textile Company, where he dedicated 35 years before retiring. John, an avid reader, immersed himself in the pages of history books. His passion extended beyond the written word—politics and football stirred his soul. Yet, above all, John adored his family. His sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to his days. The loyal companionship of his dogs warmed his heart, and he cherished their unwavering presence.
With spirited enthusiasm, he’d often cheer, ‘Go Gamecocks!’”
John is survived by his father John Sr. and wife Peggy; sons, David Duke and wife Amber, Nick Duke, Michael Robertson, Garret Robertson; children mother, Lisa Robertson; brothers, Michael Robertson and Thomas Robertson; sisters, Margaret Robertson and Patrice Robertson; grandchildren, Kirsten, Aiden, Brenin, Lukas, Calyn, Elexa, and, Jensin; great-grandchild, Jonathan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
