Richard Alan Long

Richard Alan Long, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Fort Worth. He was born on April 30, 1955, in Fort Worth to Billy Richard Long and Mary Anice (Pace). Richard grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Paschall High School. Richard studied to become a welder.

Richard was friendly. He was easy to talk to and made friends quickly. He enjoyed working on home projects and small engines

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Bill Long. He is survived by his children Brian Long and his wife Amanda, and Christy Long; mother Mary Grantham; grandchildren, Shyla, Shyenne, Shania and Brian; great-grandchildren, Saylor, Clara, Austin, and Prosper; siblings, Cheryl LaFreniere and her husband Rick, Debbie Ross and her husband Byron, David Long, Kenny Grantham and his wife Sherry.

Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
