Chasity Reed

We are sad to announce the passing of Chasity Elaine Willich Reed "Chewy"44, of Decatur. She passed away, Thursday, December 15, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

It was the simplest pleasures in life that brought great joy to Chasity. She enjoyed a quiet night listening to music and just creating beautiful artwork or having her home full of loud laughter with family and friends. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her everyday life. Her upbeat, pleasant, and positive personality was contagious to everyone around her. Her best days were those spent with her grandchildren whom she totally adored, unconditionally loved and devoted her life to.

Chasity is survived by her loving husband, Michael Reed; their two daughters, Catherine and Bobbie Reed; son, Justin Reed; their grandchildren, Garrett, Gage, Jaxx, Jeryn and Aveah Reed; both parents Lois Abbitt and Ernest Willich Sr.; sister, Renee Ridling; two brothers, Fred Willich (Amanda) and Ernest Willich Jr. (Kourtney); many aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, and cousins; devoted family and friends Sharon Reed; JoAnn Alexander; and Terry Harper.

A celebration of life will be held on January 7, 2023, at the family residence. For more information please contact family closer to that time.

The family kindly requests any tribute to Chewy be sent directly to their home rather than flowers, as Chasity, most of the time called them silly! Thank you all for your prayers and support throughout her battle and during this difficult time for the family.
