Walter Scott Redmon, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at home surrounded by those that love him and his faithful canine companions Pancho and Peanuts. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Trinity Baptist Building Fund or the American Heart Association. He was born April 30, 1944 in Mansfield to Charles Lee and Dorothy (Stanton) Redmon. They both were there to welcome him home. Along with his sisters, Barbara Dobbs and husband, Clifford, Charlene Nabors and husband, Leon and Claudia Kirby, brother, Charles Thomas Redmon and brother in law, Paul Reasoner. Scotty worked in the communication department with the Fort Worth Police and retired after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Boyd. Scotty proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam, was very patriotic and could be found putting up flags at Boyd Cemetery for services of fellow Veterans. Left to cherish fond memories are his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Stella Thompson Redmon; children of their hearts, Raul Martinez Gomez, Manuel Martinez Gomez, Dararat “Dalalah” Hightower and husband, Scotty, Laura Anderson and husband, Cody,; sisters-in-law, Mabel Thompson and husband, George, Yvonne Reasoner and Joy Redmon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
