Janet Ray

Janet Carol Steele Ray, 71 Passed away 06/24/2021 at home surrounded by those that love her. A private family memorial will be held. She was born December 11, 1949 in Rangeley Colorado. Her parents, Lance and Thelma Steele, preceded her in death along with her daughter June Pierce. Jan grew up in the Denver area and also lived in California,Missouri, Alaska, Guam, Michigan, before moving to South Dakota for 28 years. She worked in the Air Force as a secretary and also worked as a medical clerk for the Department of the VA. Jan loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Ray, daughters, Janel Edge and husband Tom, Jaime Hoskins, step sister Sheila: step brother James; grandchildren, Christopher, Zachery, Michael, Mathew, Brianna, Danica, Taylor, Samantha, and Kelsey: mother-in-law Jean Laskovich; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Wilbert) Mueller, Linda (Frank) Fait, Kathy (David) Beashears, Cindy (Bill) Whitmarsh, and Robin Tolleson; brothers-in-law Ralph “Buddy” Ray Jr., Frank (Nancy) Johnson, Daren (Roselyn) Goedhart , and Robert Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
