Melton Phillips

Melton Allen Phillips, 69, passed away Saturday, April 13 at his home in Springtown. He was born August 21, 1954 to James McClellan and Martha Lene (Hidden) Phillips in Erath County. Melton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jay Lynn Phillips and brother in law Robert Gray. He was a good man with a wild and crazy spirit. He served in the US Army and later worked in paint and body as well as general contracting. Melton enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and music. He is survived by sons, Daniel Phillips and wife Sara, Bradley Phillips and wife April ; sister Connie Halstead and husband Rodney and Pula Gray; brothers Dennis Phillips and wife Katrina and Ray Phillips.
