James Boyd Philips passed away on February 10, 2022, at home surrounded by his family and friends. Memorial services to be held on February 15, 11;00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Springtown. Internment at the D/FW National Cemetery at a later date.
Boyd was born in Whiteface, Texas on April 25, 1942. He served in the Navy as a Seabee for 9 years. He was employed by Mitchell Energy for 20 years and retired in 1999. He was member of the First Baptist Church in Springtown and was active their mission programs.
He was deeply loved by his wife, Elizabeth, of 36 years, and all his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Springtown.
