Philisa Louise Valliant (Lisa), a cherished soul whose loving heart touched all who knew her, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Azle, Texas. Born on December 8, 1961, in Grand Prairie, Texas, Philisa’s life was a beautiful journey marked by her dedication to family, her career as a cosmetologist, and her passions that brought joy and warmth to her days.
For many years, Philisa shared her talents and kindness with the communities of Collieville and Grapevine, where she worked as a cosmetologist. Her skillful hands and gentle spirit offered more than beauty treatments; they provided comfort, confidence, and connection to those who sat in her chair.
Philisa was a loving mother and grandmother, roles she embraced with unfailing devotion. She is survived by her children, Douglas Worthington, Chance Valliant, and Channing Summers, and her husband, Austin, who were the center of her world. Her grandchildren—Adalyn, Aislyn, Andyn, and Acyn—were sources of endless pride and happiness. Alongside them, her sisters Paula Martin and Patti Madewell stood by her side, united by shared memories and love. Philisa’s life was also enriched by numerous nieces, nephews, and an extended circle of family and friends who admired her warmth and generosity.
Her parents, Robert Granville Martin and Bobbi (Southall) Martin, along with her sister Pam Martin, preceded her in death. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Beyond her family and career, Philisa found joy in sewing, creating beautiful things with her own hands. She delighted in the excitement of visiting casinos and held a special place in her heart for country music, especially the melodies of George Strait, which often played as a soundtrack to her happiest moments.
Philisa Louise Valliant’s life was a tapestry woven with love, creativity, and steadfast commitment to those she cared for deeply. Her memory will remain an enduring light, inspiring all who knew her to cherish their own loved ones with the same warmth and tenderness that defined her life. She will be profoundly missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved.
