Billy Petty

Billy Gene Petty, 88, passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Bridgeport. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He was born October 1, 1933 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. His father, Will Gene Petty and step mother, Mae preceded him in death. Along with his mother, Lula Fine Parrish; brothers, Robert and James Petty; sisters, Doris Petty and Beatrice Hatfield. Bill worked hard, enjoyed bailing hay and enjoyed fishing. He could be found every morning taking Rosco his dog for a ride on the gator. He also enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Petty; sons, Randy Petty and wife, Carol and Dan Petty and Sandra; brothers, Clyde Petty, Frank Petty and Victor Petty; sisters, Catherine Ann Petty and Elizabeth Hartfield; grandchildren, Misty and husband, Tim, Brandy, J.D. and wife, Shanda and Cody; great grandchildren, Bailey, Hunter, Logan, Wade, Cayden, Rhealeigh, Kynnedi, Easton and Macie; his canine companion, Rosco; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
