Gary Peters

Gary Steven Peters, 65, passed away after a long courageous battle with Cancer, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at home surrounded by those that love him. A celebration of his life will be held at home, please contact the family for more information. He was born, September 12, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois to James and Rosalie (Lowman) Peters. They both preceded him in death along with his sister, Patty Friend. Gary grew up in Galesburg, moving to Seattle, Minnesota, Colorado and settling in Texas. He worked as a Signal Supervisor and Electrical Engineer for BNSF Railroad for 39 years. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, RV’ing and boating and was very constructive and handy. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonita Zepeda-Peters; daughters, Michelle Johansen and husband, Andy, Diana Gonzalez and husband, Ulises, Brenda Mayabb and husband, Cory and Benita Parish and husband, Jeremy; son, Paul Peters; grandchildren, Taylor, Breana, Lexi, Ashley, Paige, Lydia, Natalie, Landon, Teresa, Yago, Rayeh and Adalyn.
