Wanza Person

Wanza McConnell Person, 85, of Fort Worth, passed away surrounded by family, Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born in Rodessa, Louisiana in 1936, she was the daughter of James Clabern “Mac” and Bernice McConnell. She was the widow of Oscar Person and they shared 13 years of marriage.
She attended Bentonia High School and continued her education at Midland College.Wanza played an active role in her community and was a member of many organizations including the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was most proud of her genealogical work and could always be found with a book in her hand.She leaves behind her children Sandra McKinney (Dale), Robert Sands, and Gloria Castleberry (Johnny), 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, and siblings Gloria Kirk and Robert McConnell both of Mississippi.
