Pete V. Peleberg passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday morning, July 5, 2023, comforted by his family and friends.
He was born July 28, 1938 in Seattle, Washington. Pete moved to Texas as a young boy with his mother and siblings and attended high school in Bridgeport.
After working in the metal building industry for several years, Pete founded PVP Building Systems Inc. in 1979. Through his entrepreneurial spirit and intuitive business sense, he grew the company into a successful and respected business. He moved the manufacturing shop and offices to Decatur in 1995 and has buildings all over Wise County, North Texas and beyond.
Pete loved to travel. Whether on 10 wheels in the motor home, two wheels on the motorcycle, or wheels up in his airplane, he and his wife, Ginny traveled extensively through North America. He had many friends that enriched his life and shared many adventures as they climbed mountains in ATV’s, crossed borders on the Gold Wing, or soared above the clouds in the airplane. Pete was a talented pilot and a longtime member of the Southwest Bonanza Society. He loved spending time in the air, sharing his passion for planes with others, and sharing his technical knowledge with family and friends.
Pete’s quick wit made every occasion memorable. He loved telling stories and playing jokes on friends. He could always keep a straight face as he set up the punch line and left everyone rolling in laughter.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Peter Peleberg, mother, Alberta Thompson, brother, Earl Peleberg, sister, Linda Cornelson, first wife, Becky Peleberg, and many beloved pets.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny Peleberg; daughter, Pennie Wilson and husband, Todd; daughter, Lisa Renee Feibel; grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Tyler, Ciaran, and Courtney; great grandchildren, Desirae, Chaston, and Camden; brothers, Edward Andreason and Donald Thompson; and sister, Louise Rodgers.
Pete took his last flight and is now seeing sights we can only imagine. Smooth air and tail winds dear friend.
