Paula Diane Spatz

Paula Diane (Rush) Spatz, 65, passed away, Sunday, August 2, 2026 surrounded by those who loved her. She was born March 30, 1961, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Paul Francis and Donna Jill (Cox) Rush. They both preceded her in death. Paula grew up and graduated in Ohio. In the early 80's, Paula moved to Texas with her parents. She was a dedicated and hardworking mother who always found the good in everyone she met. Paula worked for several years as a CNA and temporarily as a men's prison guard at the Sanders Estes Unit in Venus, Texas. She enjoyed doing word searches, reading mystery novels, and watching the Golden Girls. Her mother Donna's sense of humor lived on in Paula, as she was never above cracking a good joke at the dinner table. She is survived by her children, Erica McKinney and husband Josh, and Caleb Graham and wife, Amy; brother Philip Rush and wife, Lori Rush; grandchildren, Brooklyn McKinney, Emree Jones, Jaelyn Oakes and husband, Matthew, Xaven Rivera and Easton Graham; great grandchild, Gideon Oakes. Her kindness and joy have touched the lives of many, including her family.
