Velma Otten

Velma Joyce Dethloff Otten, 86, of Weatherford, passed away, Sunday, December 23, 2018. Joyce was born June 19, 1932 in Tarrant County to Kossie and Ruby (Bishop) Dethloff. They preceded her in death along with her husband, Carl Otten; daughter, Mary Lou Busby; granddaughter, Misti Busby; sisters, Reba Gregory, Lucille Daily, Irene Dethloff and Viloa Dethloff. She was born in a tent in a workers camp where her father was a worker in the building of Eagle Mountain Lake. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Gregg and wife, Hazel; daughter, Linda Sides and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Kenny Seigler, Tammy Qualls, Jodie Walker, KaRae Walls, Mandy Wright, Douglas Gregg, Michael Busby and Jason Busby; several great grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Brothers, Kossie Dethloff and wife, Betty, Calvin Dethloff and wife, Janie and Earl Joe Dethloff and wife, Joyce.
