Gerald Lee Osborne
December 21, 1950 - October 3, 2024
Gerald Lee Osborne, affectionately known as “Chico”, passed away on October 3, 2024 in Azle, Texas.
He was born in Oklahoma to father, Elmer Osborne and mother, Lois Jneannine Long on December 21, 1950. Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Osborne and Mother Lois Long; sister, Connie Tandy; brother, Paul “Butch” Osborne; and step-daughter, Lisa Clements.
Though he was born in Oklahoma, Chico’s true stomping grounds were in Peoria, Illinois where he was raised, prior to moving to Texas 40 years ago. He planted his roots in Azle for nearly 25 years. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed supporting the Bears, as well as his Sooners. In addition to his love for football, Gerald also enjoyed golfing and riding his Harley. He was a biker, a member of the Voltars, thus entering into a lifelong connection with those who became his family. Chico knew no strangers, so in his passing, we would like to remember a lifetime of friends-turned-kin, that he has made and loved along the way. Gerald was dedicated to those he loved, but his pride and joy was in his children and his grandchildren; never missing an opportunity to show his family how much he loved and supported them in every endeavor. He was present for every ceremony, event, game and memory; the loudest and proudest in the crowd. Gerald’s family will forever reflect lovingly on the stories and memories that he has passed along to them; he will truly be missed.
Gerald is survived by his daughter, Amanda Lester and husband, Evan Lester; Stepchildren Jamie and B.J. Clements; Sister, Debbie King; Granddaughter, Debra Lee Lester and Fiancé Jacob Lee; Grandson Jonathan Lester and Fiancé, Jeslyn Martinez; Great-Granddaughter, Blakelyn Lester; Soon to be Great-Grandson, Jackson Lee Lester, as well as an extensive network of Nieces, Nephews, friends, family and friends who became family.
