Norman Dennis Perry, 78, of Springtown, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2026.
Norman was born on July 9, 1948, in Reno, Nevada, to Victor and Luella Perry. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Specialist Five (SP5), serving four years. He served honorably in Korea, earning multiple military service medals and marksmanship honors.
Norman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He shared 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Nancy Perry, building a life and family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Perry; his four children: Rhonda Merritt, married to Mike, Spencer Stroh, married to Heather, Laura Woolsey and Nishelle Panelli; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Norman was a man who could be described in many ways: quick-witted, hard-headed, stubborn as could be and absolutely impossible not to love. He always had a quick response ready and seemed to know every joke and every riddle worth telling. He loved being silly and could turn just about any moment into a reason to laugh.
He loved fishing and hunting, but perhaps nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As stubborn as he could be, there was one sure way to change his mind, a hug and a kiss from one of the grandkids. They had a way of getting whatever they wanted from Grandpa.
Norman was also a natural storyteller. There wasn’t a song he couldn’t make up, a story he couldn’t tell, or a joke he couldn’t remember. His humor, his stories, his teasing, and his larger-than-life personality will live on in the memories of everyone who knew and loved him.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Luella Perry.
He leaves behind a family who will miss his laughter, his stories, his stubbornness, his silliness, and most of all, the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and through every joke told, every story shared, and every song made up in his honor.
He was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed.
