He is preceded in death by his father, James David Hayes, grandfather, Henry Hewitt Jr., and grandmother, Janice Hewitt. He is survived by his mother, Amy Hayes; sisters, Jesse Hayes, Lindsey Hayes and Megan Hayes; aunt, Dana Yates and husband Justin; Many numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
