Howard Morgan

Howard R. Morgan, Sr., 83, passed away on 9 March 2018. Howard was a career military man and a proud veteran serving in both the Army and the Air Force with assignments on many bases in the United States and tours in Germany, Korea, Thailand and Viet Nam. After retiring from the military, Howard earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. He loved to travel and used his degree teaching and working from coast to coast. On his final retirement, Howard moved back to his hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio, where he became an active member of the Masons and the Kentucky Hillbillies. Howard was a lifelong music lover and singer who was quite popular in many local establishments and entertained family and friends alike at church events as well as special events. Howard’s parents and one sister proceeded him in death. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters. Howard is also survived by his five children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
