Lee Daniel Miller, 56, of Boyd, passed away peacefully at his earthly home and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 after a very brief battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Genivive Miller; brother, Roy Miller III and father-in-law, Allen Madison. Lee was born in Lufkin on September 16, 1966. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy for four years of active duty and retired from the Naval Reserves after 26 years of service. Lee graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, where he met his wife. He obtained his master’s degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. He touched so many lives teaching school in Slidell, Springtown and Decatur and at the Gainesville State School. Lee then landed his dream job of being the school librarian at Donna Shepard Intermediate School in Mansfield. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church Boyd. Lee loved playing guitar as part of the praise team on Sunday mornings. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a true Christian in every sense. He will be missed by all that knew him.
