Mike Edwin Mauney

Mike Edwin Mauney, beloved father, grandfather, and devoted Christian, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, in Poolville, Texas, at the age of 66. Born on May 6, 1959, in Germany, Mike dedicated his life to his family and his work, retiring from Lockheed Martin in 2023, where he served as an Aircraft Avionics technician.

A loving father to son Brandon Mauney, daughter Amanda Burden and her husband Doug, and son Mathew Mauney and his wife Katia, Mike cherished every moment spent with his family. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Dougie, Jase, Edgar, and Jensen, creating lasting memories through shared experiences and activities that reflected his love for the outdoors. His passions included hunting, fishing, travel, motorcycles, and sailboats, pursuits that brought joy and adventure not only to his life but also to those around him.

Mike was an active member of his church community, embodying the values of friendship, generosity, and faith. His warm personality and kind spirit touched the lives of many, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

Services honoring Mike’s life will be held on June 16, 2025, with a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander's Midway Funeral Home in Springtown, Texas. A graveside service will follow on June 17, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM at Lone Star Cemetery in Poolville, Texas.

Mike is reunited in spirit with his parents, who predeceased him. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him through the love he shared and the values he instilled in his family.
