Lynda Melton

Lynda Evelyn Harris Melton, 77, a loving mother, sister and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Weatherford. She was born December 5, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Robert Milton and Wilma Eugene (Ellis) Harris. They both preceded her in death along with her husband, John Melton, Sr.; sons, John Melton Jr. and Jerry D, Melton; grandson, Robert Stewart; sister, Betty Orand; and brother, Charles Harris. Lynda known to many as “LuLu” and was an active, longtime member of Legacy Church. She was involved in the food bank for a number of years, had a giving heart and was always there to help people. She is survived by her daughters, Lora Tollinger and husband, Lari and Janice Melton; sister, Roberta Graves; grandchildren, Mary Barnett, April Shelton, Aimy Rogne, John Melton III, Brandon Melton and Dustin Melton; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
