Lenard Herbert McCleskey, 80, a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and papaw, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at home surrounded by those that love him. He was born December 2, 1941 in Goodland to Paul H. and Myrtle (Hallum) McCleskey. They both preceded him in death. Along with his son, Keith McCleskey and brother, Cecil McCleskey. Lenard owned and operated McCleskey Framing for forty years in the Tarrant, Wise and Dallas counties. He enjoyed fishing but had a passion for hunting, but most of all he loved to have his family around. He went so far to have them close by, he bought land around his to have them close. Lenard was full of surprises. You never knew what he was going to bring home, it could have been a four wheeler, boat or even a brand new car for his loving wife. He was a very generous person and provided for his family. You never wanted to dare him to do anything and there didn’t have to be a prize attached, he would prove to you he could do it. He will be dearly missed by all that loves him. Left to cherish fond memories is his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Paula J. (Tarlton) McCleskey, and children, Teresa (Jeffrey) Bue, Lenard (Daria) McCleskey, Sherri (Dondi) Willliams and Patti Scarbrough; brother, Paul Wayne (Linda) McCleskey; sister, Barbara Ann Killough; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
