Margala Faye Elbert Bryant, aged 67, affectionally known as “Gala” passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Bridgeport. Born on January 13, 1958, in Independence, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Richard Allen and Barbara Ann (McMillan) Elbert, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her sister, Nita and grandson, Billy Arvin III.

Gala spent her formative years in Lake Dallas, where she attended school and developed a lifelong passion for animals, turquoise jewelry, and music. She held a special love for riding motorcycles and enjoyed an adventurous trip to Sturgism South Dakota. In her later years, Gala made her home in the serene Talahina Mountains on Potato Mountain, where she found happiness in the beauty of nature.

Gala was deeply committed to her family, finding great joy in spending time with her daughters, Randi McLaughlin and Chasity Arvin, as well as her siblings, Sam Mackey and Rick Elbert. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, Joshua, Monica, Serenity, Matthew, James, Christopher, Ryan, and Shellby, along with her ten great-grandchildren.

Gala’s loving spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, as her legacy of love and cherished memories will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
