Linda Ernestine Pool

Linda Ernestine Pool, beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Decatur. Born on November 26, 1945, in Decatur, Linda was raised in the Alvord area and graduated from Alvord High School, where her bright spirit began to shine.

In 1972, Linda married the love of her life, Weldon L. Pool. Together, they built a warm and nurturing home where love and laughter flourished. Linda devoted her life to her family, pouring her heart and soul into raising her son, Christopher Pool, and later welcoming his wife, Rachel, into the family. She also embraced her loving daughter, Robbie Timmer, with open arms, creating a circle of love that extended well beyond her immediate family.

As a homemaker, Linda found joy and fulfillment in caring for her family. Her kitchen was always filled with delicious aromas, as she had a passion for cooking that brought everyone together around the table. Each meal was prepared with care, reflecting her deep love for those she served. Family gatherings were highlights of her life, where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and memories were woven that will be cherished forever.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Samuel L. Knight and Loy Marie Raley, as well as many loving family members. Although they are no longer with us, their love and influence live on within Linda and through the family she created.

She will be profoundly missed by her husband, Weldon, her son Christopher, and his wife Rachel, and daughter Robbie, alongside all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda’s legacy of love, warmth, and devotion will continue to inspire and comfort those she left behind, reminding us all of the importance of family and the bonds that truly matter.
