Donald Harold Leckburg, 73, passed away, Friday, July 28, 2023 at home, in Rhome. He was born February 2, 1950 to Harold and Alberta (Langenheim) Leckburg in Youngstown, Ohio. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Dasen. He served in the U.S. Navy in Da Nang Vietnam during the Vietnam war. Donald worked for General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio for 15 years. Donald owned and operated O’Keefe Sew & Vac for 13 years with his wife Donna . He was a games dealer for Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas Nevada for 15 years. Donald was a member of Crossroads Church in Decatur and a member of Countryside Fellowship prior to that. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1076 in Henderson, Nevada and Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) in Decatur. He enjoyed all things military and was currently restoring a World War II Jeep. Donald loved to spend time with his family and was active with his church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Donna (Laithwaite) Leckburg; sons, Philip Don Leckburg and Jeremy James Leckburg; daughter , Mindy Leckburg-Fout and her husband Joshua Fout; grandchildren, Dane, Joseph, Jade, Laithwaite, Lilwen, Lieve, and Lovey; and brother‐in‐laws , Robert Laithwaite, David Laithwaite, and Bill Dasen. Donald will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
