Kimberly Ann Thornton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Weatherford. Born on December 7, 1963, in Odessa, Kimberly was a radiant spirit whose warmth and humor touched the lives of all who knew her.
A person who radiated joy, Kimberly was known for her funny, caring nature, coupled with a delightful stubbornness that made her all the more endearing. She carried a passion for life, one that was manifest in her many hobbies and interests. Whether she was engaging in her favorite remodeling projects, enjoying a round of golf, or competing in a friendly bowling tournament, Kimberly approached each activity with enthusiasm and a contagious smile. Her love for Chinese food was well-known, often leading her to discover the best local spots to share meals with her family and friends.
Kimberly was not only a devoted mother to her children, Gena Thornton and her fiancé Jose Mireles, Jeremy Randel, and Patrick Randel and his wife Monica, but she also cherished her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren, Gabby and Patrick Jr., brought immense joy to her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with love and laughter that will be forever etched in their hearts.
A lifelong friend to many, Kimberly shared a particularly special bond with her dear friend, Brandi Dulong. Their friendship was a testament to Kimberly's caring nature, as she consistently lent her support and shared her laughter with those fortunate enough to be in her circle.
Though Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents, their legacy shines brightly through her, as she embodied the values of love, laughter, and resilience that they instilled in her. Her spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends, who will hold onto the cherished memories created and the laughter shared over the years.
As we remember Kimberly Ann Thornton, let us honor her by embracing life with the same passion she exhibited. Her indelible mark on our lives remains a beacon of love and joy that will guide us in the seasons to come.
