Kimberly Kay McArthur, lovingly known as Kim, passed away on November 24, 2025, in Decatur, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that touched the lives of many. Born on April 15, 1969, in Arlington, Texas, Kim’s journey was marked by a deep love for others and a passion for teaching that spanned two decades.

Kim graduated from North Texas University, a testament to her dedication and commitment to education. For twenty years, she devoted herself to shaping young minds as a teacher, making a significant impact on her students and their families. Her patience and kindness as an educator mirrored the wonderful traits she exhibited in her personal life. She was a warm and loving person whose caring nature extended far beyond the classroom.

In 2013, Kim married the love of her life, Dave Thaden, and together, they settled in the beautiful town of Paradise, where they shared countless joyful moments. Their home remodeling business became a labor of love for both, reflecting their shared dreams and aspirations.

Kim’s vibrant personality shone through in her hobbies and interests. She found joy in dancing, skiing, and playing badminton, and her fondness for animals, especially cats, was well-known among her friends and family. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing herbs, bringing her love of cooking to life with fresh ingredients from her garden. Each meal was not just food but a gathering of love, laughter, and togetherness.

Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Dave Thaden; her loving daughter, Kayden McArthur; her cherished grandson, Cody Thaden; her devoted mother, Kayla Davis; and her adoring sister, Lisa Morgan, along with her husband Mark. Though she is heartily missed, Kim’s spirit continues to live on through the lives she has touched.

She is preceded in death by her father, Martin Davis, whose memory she carries in her heart. The loss of Kim leaves a profound void in the lives of her loved ones, yet they find solace in the beautiful memories and the enduring impact she had on those around her. Kim leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and warmth that will be cherished forever.
