Kelly Jess Branscum

Kelly Jess Branscum, 65, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2026, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 5, 1961, in Plainview to Hubert and Beulah (Smith) Branscum, both of whom preceded him in death, Kelly was also predeceased by his siblings, Vickie Brewer and Michael Joe Bailey and grandson, Ethan Langley.

Kelly was raised in Chico, where he completed his education, and spent much of his life in Decatur. He found joy and fulfillment in his work as a truck driver, as well as in playing poker and riding motorcycles. Above all, Kelly’s greatest love and priority was his family, whom he cared for deeply.

Remembered as the gruffest yet sweetest man one could know, Kelly's presence will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son, Jesse Branscum, and wife Bobbie; daughter Ashley Branscum; brother Richard Branscum; sister Sharon Walker; and cherished grandchildren Kaylynn, Tayler, Hadley, Priscilla, and Aspen.
